Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM) head coach Joel Masutha says he knows how to assemble a team in a short space of time therefore doesn’t feel pressure ahead of this s weekend’s MTN 8 clash against Super Sport United in Thohoyandou. TTM announced their players for the 2020/2021 season on Thursday with Masutha saying the only thing left for his team is to gel.
Masutha says he wants his side to hit the ground running and they will shock most if undermined.
“We are not thinking of losing we want to hit the ground running and I believe we are gonna achieve that. The few sessions we have had trying to accommodate everyone trying to make everyone feel comfortable, I’d like us to be free so we can deliver,” said Masutha.
Masutha didn’t want to reveal much about his first starting 11 only saying he will select a very strong team to face Matsatsantsa.
“We only have five players from the previous TTM in the Glad Africa so the majority are new players, there will be a mixture, the guys are fighting for positions which is good for us and we gonna put a very strong team to play against the defending champions,” added the coach.
Due to Covid-19 regulations matches are playing without fans and the former Black Leopards mentor hopes none of his charges will use the lack of fans at the usually packed Thohoyandou stadium as an excuse to not perform at their best, adding that he hopes the experience in the PSL bio bubble at the end me of the last season has prepared them.
“Id like to think that the previous experience in the bubble prepared the players for that. Also we have played a few practice matches it’s not different from the training we have to adjust,” concluded Masutha.
